About Us

Tim Attlee, Founder Member

Tim Attlee is the founder member of Tavacon LLC and has extensive construction experience in the USA. Having fulfilled a role of Construction Manager for the family business in South Africa for considerable time, he immigrated to the United States in 1994 and immediately set about familiarising himself with local construction methods, Texas building Codes and city procedures.

During his time in the USA, Tim has managed the construction of many projects in the state of Texas, forging important relationships with Designers, Bankers, City officials, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Clients, who are all important role players in the construction industry.

Peter Attlee

Peter Attlee, a founding member of the Attlee family business that once traded in South Africa, has extensive experience in development and construction management. Having commenced his career in the industry with ‘hands on’ involvement shortly after graduating from high school, he has developed skills and knowledge in every facet of building construction.

With decades of experience in successfully pioneering and managing projects in South Africa, the United Kingdom and more recently the USA, Peter is well equipped with all the requirements to effectively steer any construction project from inception to completion.

In addition to management skills, Peter brings to the table technical, negotiating, estimating, financial management and team liaison skills, all vital for successful project management.

  2. To provide the best possible advice to Clients to ensure that they are suitably informed and that their needs and expectations are fully met
  3. To regard all parties involved in the development and construction process as vital team players, working together to maximise the benefit for the client
  4. To always maintain transparency and inform the client honestly regarding all financial matters, whether they relate to potential omissions or additions
  5. To present detailed cost breakdown of construction works based on the clients brief, construction drawings and specification of works, leaving no doubt as to what is included or excluded in our bid. This ensures that there are no undesirable surprises at completion of a contract.
  6. To work with the client and design team if necessary to suitably value engineer a project, without compromising the quality of the product
  7. To prepare and present frequent project cost reports to keep the client properly informed throughout the duration of the project, especially regards value engineering savings and/or unavoidable change order additional costs
  8. To manage subcontractors with respect, communicating with them timeously and frequently to ensure their compliance with contract time schedules and construction variations affecting their installations
